Hi, I'm Jordene, and Backriver Blends is my way of sharing the bold, authentic flavors of Jamaica with the world. My journey started when my daughter was diagnosed at just five months old with severe food allergies. It was a frustrating and eye-opening experience that completely changed the way we approached food and products for our home and body.

Living in Maine now, inspired by the local artisan products, farms, and quality craftsmanship, I knew I could create something everyone my daughter included—could enjoy without restrictions. That's how Backriver Blends was born. With fresh ingredients and time-honored recipes, our jerk marinades are crafted to bring the true taste of Jamaica into your kitchen, with a focus on both flavor and safety.
