Deviled eggs are a classic party appetizer, but why stick to the ordinary? With a little kick from Backriver Blends’ Original Jerk Marinade, you can elevate this simple dish to new heights. The smoky, spicy flavor of the marinade adds a surprising twist to the creamy filling, making it a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Backriver Blends Original Jerk Marinade
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Eggs: Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain the hot water and immediately place the eggs in an ice bath to cool quickly.
  2. Peel the Eggs: Once cooled, peel the eggs carefully.
  3. Cut the Eggs: Cut the eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a medium bowl.
  4. Mash the Yolks: Mash the yolks with a fork or potato masher.
  5. Mix the Filling: Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, jerk marinade, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  6. Fill the Egg Whites: Spoon the filling into the egg white halves, mounding slightly.
  7. Garnish: Sprinkle with paprika.
  8. Chill: Refrigerate until ready to serve.
